The ear cleaner most vet clinics reach for — a gentle, low-pH solution for routine cleaning and for keeping ears in order between treatments.
Dogs with drop ears, dogs that swim, and any dog prone to ear trouble do better with a routine than with a rescue. A clean, dry ear canal is the thing that stops most problems starting.
How to use it
Fill the ear canal, then massage the base of the ear for 20–30 seconds — you should hear it squelching, which means it's reaching where it needs to. Let the animal shake its head, then wipe the visible part of the ear with cotton wool.
Never put a cotton bud down the canal. You'll pack debris further in rather than getting it out.
How often
Weekly for a dog prone to ear trouble, or after every swim. Monthly is plenty for an ear that gives no bother.
Suits dogs and cats. 120ml and 237ml bottles.
If the ear is painful, smelly, very red, or the animal is tilting its head, it's worth having your vet look before cleaning — a cleaner can't reach an infection, and a ruptured eardrum changes what's safe to put in.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight

Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.
