Dental care from organic seaweed rather than abrasion — which makes it the option for animals that won't take a brush or chew anything long enough for it to matter.
The active is Ascophyllum nodosum. The compounds in it come through in the saliva and bind to the bacterial biofilm on the teeth, which is what plaque and tartar build on. So it works from the inside, on every tooth, including the back ones no brush ever reaches.
Chews or powder?
- Chews — three flavours (salmon, beef liver, vegetarian), fed as a daily treat. Easiest if your animal likes treats.
- Powder — 100% pure organic seaweed, nothing else. Mixed through food, so there's nothing to refuse. Comes with a scoop.
Both come in 100g packs.
How to feed
Chews: one per 5kg of bodyweight daily, to a maximum of 6.
Powder: cats and small dogs under 10kg, ½–1 scoop; medium dogs 10–25kg, 1–2 scoops; large dogs over 25kg, 2–3 scoops. Start at the low end for a sensitive stomach and build up.
Free from gluten, lactose, milk, eggs, sugar, soy, nuts and grains, with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. Made in Australia.
Not for pregnant or lactating animals, or animals with thyroid conditions — seaweed is high in iodine.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight

Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.

Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.

Check your horse regularly to make sure they are neither too hot nor too cold.

Consider your horse’s age and natural ability to stay warm.

As a general guide, rugging is usually appropriate when temperatures drop below 5–10 °C, but always adjust for your horse’s individual needs.
