A close-fitting wrap that applies gentle, constant pressure around a dog's torso — the same principle as swaddling a baby.
No drugs, no pheromones, and nothing to plug in or wear off. It goes on when it is needed and comes off when it isn't, which makes it a practical option for a dog that only struggles a few nights a year.

Fitting it
Measure around the chest just behind the front legs and match that to the size chart rather than guessing from the dog's weight. It should be snug, since firm pressure is the whole mechanism, but you should still fit two fingers underneath.
Put it on for short, calm sessions first, so the dog associates it with ordinary, uneventful time. For fireworks, have it on before the noise starts rather than after the dog is already worked up.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight
