The yellow Pritchard teat, which screws straight onto an ordinary soft drink bottle.
No special bottle needed, and the flow valve stops the lamb gulping air. Sold individually. Latex perishes, so it pays to keep a spare.
Setting it up
Cut the tip of the teat to suit the lamb — start small, because you can always cut more. A flow that is too fast is how you get milk into the lungs.
Feeding
Feed at body temperature and keep everything scrupulously clean between feeds. Get colostrum into a newborn within the first few hours; that matters more than anything else you will do.
A lamb that won't suck at all, or one that is cold and floppy, needs warming and tube feeding rather than a bottle, and is worth a call to your vet.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight

Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.

Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.
