A medicated shampoo for bacterial and fungal skin infections in dogs, and the itching that comes with them.
The active is piroctone olamine, which handles both the bacterial and the yeast side of a skin problem in one wash. “Gentle” is the operative word — it's formulated to treat the infection without wrecking the coat, which is where harsher medicated shampoos cause their own problems.
What's in it
Piroctone olamine, glycerin, sodium phosphate, glyceryl laurate and purified water.
How to use it
Wet the coat thoroughly, work the shampoo in, and leave it on long enough to work before rinsing. Follow with PAW NutriDerm Replenishing Conditioner — medicated washes strip the skin barrier, and an already-compromised dog needs that put back.

If the skin isn't improving, or infections keep returning, it's worth having your vet investigate. Recurring skin infections usually have an underlying cause that needs addressing alongside the wash.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.

Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight
