A broad-spectrum vitamin, mineral, amino acid and antioxidant powder for horses that aren't in hard work โ spelling, in light to moderate work, or getting on in years. Good value for what it covers.
Who it's for
Horses on home-mixed diets, horses on forage only, and any horse getting a premixed feed below its recommended intake. That last one catches a lot of horses out: feed a scoop of something designed to be fed at three, and the vitamin and mineral side quietly falls short.
Why use it
- Balances diets where vitamin and mineral intake is low, especially when pasture is poor or short
- Restores correct levels when premixed feeds are underfed
- Adds no meaningful calories โ suits restricted-calorie diets and good doers
- Suits all breeds spelling, in light or moderate work, or in the later stages of life
A convenient powder that mixes through the daily feed. For horses in hard work or racing, look at Gold Pellet or a performance-level supplement instead.

FAQ
All your questions, answered.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21โ28 ยฐC, but for horses itโs much broader at 5โ25 ยฐC.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight
-
Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.
-
Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.
-
Check your horse regularly to make sure they are neither too hot nor too cold.
-
Consider your horseโs age and natural ability to stay warm.
-
As a general guide, rugging is usually appropriate when temperatures drop below 5โ10 ยฐC, but always adjust for your horseโs individual needs.
-
Always ensure rugs are waterproof. A wet rug is worse than no rug at all.
This is anย indicative guide only. Always take into account factors such as wind chill, your horseโs age, weight, and condition.
