A dual-action supplement for hoof and coat, working from the inside out. If you're prepping for a show or a sale and want the coat to come up, or you're trying to grow out feet that have taken a hammering, Bio-Bloom covers both jobs at once.
What's in it
Biotin, methionine, iodine and chelated zinc at levels shown to improve hoof growth and build strong hoof wall. It also includes lecithin and essential fatty acids from full-fat soybean — needed for resilient hoof horn, and for the shine in a coat.
Why use it
- Improves and speeds hoof growth, including wall strength
- Produces a soft, shiny coat and healthy mane and tail growth
- Helps hooves damaged by laminitis, seedy toe, sand cracks and wet-dry cycles
- Supplies the amino acids and fatty acids that coat condition depends on
Feeding
Top-dress on feed. 30g to 60g per day for horses and ponies; 60g per day for acute hoof damage and coat conditioning; 90–120g for horses recovering from laminitis.
Hoof grows at roughly 6–10mm a month, so give it a full season before you judge the feet. The coat will show first.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight

Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.

Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.

Check your horse regularly to make sure they are neither too hot nor too cold.

Consider your horse’s age and natural ability to stay warm.

As a general guide, rugging is usually appropriate when temperatures drop below 5–10 °C, but always adjust for your horse’s individual needs.

Always ensure rugs are waterproof. A wet rug is worse than no rug at all.
