The livestock version of Hippo Health's popular Joints Plus. A New Zealand made natural remedy that supports sheep, cattle, goats and other farm animals with day to day joint stiffness. Suitable for long term daily dosing, with no withholding period.
DOSING
How To Dose
Dose directly into the muzzle using the spray bottle, or add to feed, a treat or the water trough.
90ml Spray Bottle
Give 2 to 3 sprays onto a mucous membrane such as the vulva, nose or tongue. For dairy cows, give 2 doses (2 to 3 sprays per dose) directly onto the vulva, the first when putting the cups on and again when taking the cups off. Suitable for long term daily dosing.
90ml Spray Bottle = 230 doses (2 sprays per dose). Food grade aluminium bottle with a hygienic serum spray lid and over cap.
Jerry Cans
Water trough: add 25ml (one capful or one pump) to the trough every second day. Dose volume is calculated for a 500 litre trough.
Feed: add half a capful (12ml) or half a pump to feed twice daily.
Syringe: give 5ml directly into the mouth twice daily.
1 litre = 80 days continuous cover via the water trough (dosing every second day) or 40 days dosing on feed (twice daily). Jerry cans are made from food grade plastic.

The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. For humans, this range is quite narrow at 21–28 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight

Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.

Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.

Check your horse regularly to make sure they are neither too hot nor too cold.

Consider your horse’s age and natural ability to stay warm.

As a general guide, rugging is usually appropriate when temperatures drop below 5–10 °C, but always adjust for your horse’s individual needs.
