A hoof supplement formulated to strengthen and improve the growth of cracked and brittle hooves in horses. Expect better wall strength and thickness, thicker soles, deeper heels and healthier frogs over time.

How it works

A combination of organic minerals, vitamins, nutrients and co-factors essential for the repair and maintenance of healthy hooves. It comes as a palatable apple-flavoured white powder that goes over a normal feed.

Timeframe

Improvement is slow, as it is with every hoof supplement. Expect horn growth and repair over three to six months, and longer where the damage is severe or the horse is a larger breed. New horn has to grow down from the coronet band, and nothing speeds that up.

It works best alongside the management that builds a good foot — regular trimming or shoeing, a sound diet, and keeping the horse off constantly wet ground where you can.

  • Ponies — 15g daily
  • Adult horses — 30g daily

Prevention

  • Ponies — 7–10g daily
  • Adult horses — 15g daily
  • Large breeds and pregnant mares over 600kg — 45g daily
  • Pregnant mares in the final weeks of gestation — 60g daily

At a 30g treatment dose the 1.5kg pack lasts about 50 days and the 3kg pack about 100 days.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place and replace the lid tightly after use.
