A nutraceutical blend of pre and probiotics with natural holistic ingredients, formulated to support and optimise immune and intestinal health.
What it may help with
- Optimising digestion and the use of nutrients
- Supporting immune balance
- Holding condition
- Horses under stress
- Skin and coat health
- Ulcer prevention, and horses that already have them
- Digestive upsets and manure quality
- Reducing feed costs — a better-functioning gut gets more out of the same feed
Why gut health matters
The gut does more than take up nutrients. It plays a role in disease prevention, metabolic balance, behaviour and general vitality, and research links sub-optimal gut health to a range of problems.
The stressors that compromise it are part of normal horse management — feed composition and routine, pathogens, mycotoxins, environment, travel, hard work and climate.
Feeding
Scoop included, 1 scoop = 10g. Mix through or top-dress the daily feed, ideally split between morning and night.
- Foals, growing horses, ponies under 200kg, or non-working horses — 10g
- Lactating, working, travelling, late gestation or under stress — 20–40g
The feed rate is small and it suits picky eaters. A 400g pack lasts 40 days at one scoop; the 10kg lasts 1,000.
Ingredients
Yeast culture, Aspergillus niger fermentation solubles, Bacillus subtilis fermentation product, and EAC's BIM technology blend.
Can be fed alongside in-sandout, in-stride and the osmo-lyte range.
Not to be confused with the in-Sideout Dog formula, which is a different product at a different rate.

FAQ
All your questions, answered.
Not sure what rug your horse needs right now? Our free Horse Rug Forecaster checks your local weather and tells you what rug weight your horse needs today, tonight and over the next 3 days. It works anywhere in New Zealand and adjusts for clipped horses and horses that feel the cold.
The thermoneutral zone is the temperature range where the body can maintain its core temperature with little to no extra energy expenditure. Humans need it much warmer, at around 25–30 °C, but for horses it’s much broader at 5–25 °C.
This difference means we should avoid rugging horses based on how cold we feel. Over-rugging can lead to serious health issues, including metabolic problems and thermoregulatory dysfunction.
Tips for Choosing a Winter Rug Weight
-
Clipped horses may need a heavier gram fill to stay comfortable.
-
Remember: horses warm themselves more easily than they cool down under a rug. If unsure, choose a lighter rug.
-
Check your horse regularly to make sure they are neither too hot nor too cold.
-
Consider your horse’s age and natural ability to stay warm.
-
As a general guide, a healthy unclipped horse with shelter usually doesn't need a winter rug until it feels colder than about 5 °C, but always adjust for your horse’s individual needs.
-
Always ensure rugs are waterproof. A wet rug is worse than no rug at all.
This is an indicative guide only. Always take into account factors such as wind chill, your horse’s age, weight, and condition. For advice based on your local forecast, try the Horse Rug Forecaster.
