Why gut health matters

The gut isn't just about taking up nutrients. It plays a role in disease prevention, metabolic balance, behaviour and general vitality, and research links sub-optimal gut health to a range of problems.

The stressors that compromise it are hard to avoid in a normal horse's life — feed composition and routine, pathogens, mycotoxins, environment, travel, hard work and climate.

Feeding

Scoop included, 1 scoop = 10g. Mix through or top-dress the daily feed, ideally split between morning and night.

• Foals, growing horses, ponies under 200kg, or non-working horses — 10g
• Lactating, working, travelling, late gestation or under stress — 20–40g

Small feed rate and suits picky eaters. A 400g pack lasts 40 days at one scoop; the 10kg does 1,000.

Ingredients

Yeast culture, Aspergillus niger fermentation solubles, Bacillus subtilis fermentation product, and EAC's BIM technology blend.

Pairs with in-sandout, in-stride and the osmo-lyte range.
