zilco-jointed-mouth-kimblewick
Zilco Jointed Mouth Kimblewick

A stainless steel kimblewick with a single jointed mouthpiece, known as a Kimberwick in the United States and sometimes called a Spanish snaffle. The bridle cheekpieces attach to the eye at the top of the bit, which gives a more direct poll action than an ordinary snaffle. The slotted cheeks let you move the rein position up or down to increase or soften the curb action, so it is worth a look if you want a little more stopping power without moving to a double bridle.

Stainless steel

Single jointed mouthpiece

Slotted cheeks, so the rein position can be altered to increase or reduce the curb action

Bridle cheekpieces attach at the top eye for direct poll action

Double link curb chain included

Pony size (11.5cm / 4 1/2"): mouth thickness 12mm, cheek length 100mm

Available in 11.5cm (4 1/2"), 12.5cm (5") and 14cm (5 1/2")
