The spoons hang below the mouthpiece to stop the bit being pulled through the horse's mouth, and sitting where they do they are less likely to catch on the mouth or the reins. This one is much like the standard jointed half spoon but with leather over the mouthpiece and behind the rings, which makes it a softer option for young horses or horses with sensitive mouths.

Stainless steel with leather covering the mouthpiece and the area behind the rings

Jointed mouthpiece

Spoons hang below the mouthpiece to stop the bit pulling through

Cob size (12.5cm / 5")

Mouth thickness 19mm

Cheek length 108mm
