zilco-french-link-baucher-bit
Zilco French Link Baucher Bit

A stainless steel baucher with a french link mouthpiece, most often seen in the showjumping and dressage phases of eventing. The reins attach to the eggbutt style ring at the mouthpiece and the bridle cheeks attach to the smaller ring above, so the bit sits flat against the horse's face and stays fairly fixed in the mouth. The french link lessens the nutcracker action you get from a single joint, which means less palate and bar pressure than the single jointed model.

Stainless steel

French link mouthpiece, so less nutcracker action

Reins attach to the lower eggbutt style ring, bridle cheeks to the smaller upper ring

Sits flat and fairly still against the horse's face

Acts on the bars with slight poll pressure

Pony size (11.5cm / 4 1/2"): mouth thickness 12mm, ring size 40mm

Available in 11.5cm (4 1/2"), 12.5cm (5") and 14cm (5 1/2")
